$500 gift card doesn’t work

I just purchased a $500 Apple gift card and immediately tried to redeem it and got an error message from Apple saying it had been “disabled”?? I contacted apple and they said there is no record of that gift card even in their system. Can’t get a response from Raise. What is going on!?!
