GCX Pay is moving to Raise
Soon, cashback gift card purchases will move from GCX Pay to the Raise app. The GCX app isn't going away: you'll still use it for discounted marketplace gift cards, your saved gift cards, and your remaining GCX Cash.
Why is this happening?
We're putting all cashback purchases in one place, Raise, so GCX can focus on discounted gift cards.
What do I need to do?
Download the Raise app (iPhone / Android) and create an account.
What happens to the gift cards in my GCX Wallet?
They stay in your GCX Wallet, and you can keep using them.
Can I use GCX Cash on Raise?
No. GCX Cash and Raise Cash are separate and can't be transferred. You can still spend GCX Cash on marketplace gift cards in the GCX app. GCX Cash will expire 180 days after it is earned.
Should I delete the GCX app?
No. Keep it to view your stored gift cards, spend your GCX Cash, and buy marketplace gift cards.
How does Raise work?
Buy eGift cards in Raise and earn Raise Cash back, which you can use on future purchases in the app.
Are cashback rates and brands the same?
Yes. The same brands are available on both, and cashback rates are currently the same.
Does Raise Cash expire?
Yes, 180 days after the date you earn it.
Where can I get help?
Both GCX and Raise have a chatbot that will help you with any questions and will escalate to customer support via email if needed.
